On Tuesday (Earth Day) the whole Land-Grant team took a trip to rural Ohio to help tear down and reclaim an old barn that need to come down. I shot this little time-lapse film to document the day.
As a member of the Queen City Project, I was honored to play a part in the documentation of CoSign 2013, editing the video you see above (with imagery provided by Alias Imaging and Bluestone Creative). CoSign, in it's second year, is a non-profit program that connects independent business-owners, designers, and fabricators to create a one-of-a-kind signage. The designers and fabricators are compensated for their work, the business receives a free-of-charge sign, and a neighborhood receives a transformative facelift. Everybody wins.
Last year, I pitched in and shot some B-Roll for the Cincinnati chapter of Creative Mornings. It was used in the application video they put together. The Cincinnati version of the series has been going strong for almost a year now, and they are a truly inspiring way to start a Friday. I set my footage to the smooth sounds of Nick Waterhouse to create the quick Cincy-centric video above.
A long while ago I shot this short little time-lapse of my favorite OTR watering hole and venue, MOTR Pub. Recently, I finally circled back around to stitch it together.

Over the past 5 years, I've been involved in one way or another with the Midpoint Music Festival. I completed a full rebrand of the indie-rock event in 2009 and have lent my talents in varying capacities each year. Having relocated north to Columbus, I was a little removed from this year's fest. However, I was luckily able to work with my Queen City Project compatriots to create a full-on QCP feature as well as the Midpoint Sessions. These intimate performances –from bands hand-picked by The Ridges– took place over Midpoint weekend in the Art Academy of Cincinnati. A fun video I had the pleasure of putting together as a member of the Queen City Project. As always, amazing photos by Alias Imaging (and a few of my own) and our Framester-powered QCP boxtruck photo-booth. I think theis sums up the MPMF weekend experience pretty well: hectic, chaotic, well soundtracked and fun as hell. Can't wait for next year.

MPMF.11 proper got down in Cincinnati over the past weekend and, while I didn't get to see as much music as I normally would, I was honored to participate in the first Midpoint Midway. The midway was a series of art installations built into standard box-trucks. Lots of interesting and talented folks like Able, Losantiville and Soapbox were in on the action as well. I participated, as a member of Libre, in the Poster Expo which was currated by the creative team at Powerhouse Factories. Ourselves, Powerhouse, Southpaw, Keith Neltner and Rob Warnick all pitched in to build rock poster galleries in the back of our two trucks, and slung some special posters on the premesis.
If you didn't make it down to the Expo, you can purchase most of the stuff we had available at our shop.

The first ever City Flea went down this past weekend on the corner of Vine and Central. There were tons of cool things to buy, eat and see. The organizers reached out to me to document the event, and the above video and below photos are what I saw. Give them a look, and spread the word because the City Flea is an awesome addition to downtown Cincinnati. See you at the next one (July 9).
