Kasich-4-Cool

"We've got to make Ohio cool. You know, I was down at Lexis-Nexis down in Dayton, I'm meeting with the CEO of the company, and he says, you know, a lot of these, these young people, you know, they want to head for the coast. Why do they want to go to the coast? It's cool. Why do they want to go to Austin? You ever been to Austin? It's very cool. You want to go to the Triangle of North Carolina, go down there and check it out, it's cool. We need to make Ohio cool." -J. Kasich

MOTR PUB Halloween Print Series

These 3 posters represent a series I did for the run of Halloween shows at MOTR Pub on Main Street  in Over-the-Rhine.  I started with the Wussy poster (above), which commemorated the release of their new remix album This Will Not End Well , and tried to tie the three together thematically, narratively and aesthetically.

PowerHouse printed some of htese up, and they are currently available as hand-signed and numbered limited editions at MOTR.

MPMF.10 PHOTOS

I finally got around to sorting and processing my photos from the 2010 Midpoint Music Festival in September. For the uninitiated, MPMF is a music festival hosted here in Cincinnati each fall. It serves as a veritable all-you-can hear buffet of up and coming indie rock. This year I was lucky enough to catch sets by Best Coast, Caribou, Phantogram and Cincy's own Wussy and Seedy Seeds. But the best show I saw all weekend was from Columbus, Ohio's Super Deserts. Great stuff. You can see a few photos below, and many many more over on my Flickr page. As well as photos from the MPMF Indie Summer Series.
